We are on a mission to raise $500 to provide gas cards to parents/caregivers with young patients (birth to age 30) enduring cancer and bone marrow transplants.
Since 2010, Dragonfly, a Cincinnati-based 501(c)(3) non-profit, has helped more than 900 young patients and their families (more than 4,000 adults and kids) find strength, comfort, and joy. For these families, every day is a struggle – emotionally, physically, and financially. “Dragonfly helps shoulder the burden of hardship on local families and shines a ray of light and hope on those facing cancer and bone marrow transplants,” Dianne, agency owner. “We are proud to be associated with the work they are doing to make a difference for young patients, their families, Cincinnati and Dayton Children’s Hospitals, and our community as a whole.”
Medical costs along with general living expenses can be difficult to manage in the best of times. However, most families are easily overwhelmed, especially when compounded by the stresses of managing family, pets, home and work responsibilities. Many parents/caregivers are challenged to have even enough money for the cost of gas needed to visit patients in the hospital and to take them to chemo and doctors appointments. Join us as #AgentsOfChange as we embark on a mission to purchase gas cards for families to help them support young patients during treatment.
